How medical acupuncture could help you
If you are suffering from pain or problems linked to any of the above conditions, medical acupuncture could relieve symptoms and help you feel better. Medical acupuncture is based on modern Western medical knowledge. It works by releasing pain-killing hormones and altering the nerve signals that transmit pain signals to the brain. Medical acupuncture also has effects on the hormones and nerves regulating many organs including the bladder, bowel and uterus.
You can come to Greg either as your first port of call; to get help with conditions which aren’t responding to other drugs and therapies, or to help you cut down on or stop using pain-killing drugs.
What medical acupuncture involves
You’ll get a thorough examination by a medically qualified doctor. After establishing the problem, Greg will insert very fine needles into specific points on the body. Depending on where he puts the needles, you may feel a twitch or a deep down ache, but because the needles are so fine, you may not even notice them go in.
Experience and qualifications
Greg is a fully qualified GP and an experienced acupuncturist with the Diploma in Medical Acupuncture (the British Medical Acupuncture Society’s higher qualification). He is regulated by the General Medical Council and recognised by most private health insurers.
Cost of a session
